Where I'm From
I was born in Lebanon, a small but rich country in my heart. It's a place of culture, history and warmth but also a place that shares hardship. It will always be my home and a huge part of who I am.
Coming to Australia
When war broke out in Lebanon, my family made a difficult decision to leave everything behind. We came to Australia as refugees in hopes to flee the conflict and search for a better and safer life. It was a journey filled with fear but also hope.
A New Country, A New Life
Arriving in Australia as a child was a very hard experience. Everything was different, the language, culture, the people. My childhood was far from easy and there were times where I felt lost. But I kept pushing forward. Over time I began to find footing and slowly loved this country. It has given me so many opportunities I never knew existed and for that I'm grateful.
Finding Cybersecurity
My passion for cybersecurity happened when my uncle explained it to me. He introduced me to the world of technology and cybersecurity which ignited my curiosity. Tragically he was forced to join the army to fight the war back in Lebanon and he never came home. Losing him was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had. But his memory lives on as I am pursuing cybersecurity in a way to honour him. Love you uncs.
